The design aims were to create; A community space for residents to enjoy and for visitors entering the stadium. A restorative zone reflecting the surrounding countryside of Leeds. A space for reflection, interaction, biodiversity and inclusivity. My aim was to incorporate not only the clear night sky, but also simultaneously immerse visitors into the forest. The concept of the glass dome was formed to achieve this. Visitors can get a real and immersive sense of their surroundings, whilst being completely enveloped by the coniferous trees of the forest.
